Steel Panthers One was a vary good WW2 tactical wargame. The second one while running on the same engine with much the same graphics created a what would happen idea of having WW3 in the early 90's.

Gameplay is vary much like the table top wargame it is based off of where you play in turns moving units on a hex grid board and try to capture points and destroy the opponent. There was a lot of depth for a title from this era. height mattered and the angle that you hit a enemy tank made all the difference if you were able to kill it or not.

don't let the table to wargame description throw you off because the graphics were vary good with 3d rendered sprites and the ground was vary well textured. One of my top games from the 90's.
