Star Trek 25th Anniversary - Talkie Version completed
This game (+ Judgement Rites) belongs here on GoG.
I got these both on the 25th and judgement rites on floppy (as JR has an issue on one of the floppies, what made it worse was my dad's PC couldn't play JR) and by the time I got around to owning my own PC, the disks had degraded. I played the bejeesus out of 25th, and I "knew" there was talky versions, which every write up claimed hearing the actors voices just brought the games into another class, and seeing the Youtube videos I have to agree. This *needs* to be sorted. There are not many good "trek" games, that nail the TV series like these did. It's a tragedy they are not already on GOG
That would be a truly "good old" game. Come on guys, you already have a Interplay games in the catalog, figure something out with CBS to get the Interplay Star Trek titles on the site.
@C17 - Wow, when I had this game, I only had the disc and didn't even know that was DRM - I just thought the game was half broken! This just makes me want to play this and the sequel so much more. Come on GOG.com, let's see some movie licensed games like this, Dune 2000, and Blade Runner!
I didn't play this or Judgement Rites back in the day...
GOG, make it so!
As a life long Star Trek fan I would like to see this added to GOG. I somehow missed the game when it was released in the 90s.
An amazing game. It had a sequel, Judgement Rights, which was every bit as good.
Star trek 25th Anniversary, Judgement Rites enhanced talkie editions.
Also The Next Generations, A Final Unity.
Come on GOG these are true classics with original cast voices.
I have fond memories of playing this game on my old 386 back in the early 1990s. Unfortunately I no longer have my original disks, but I'd love to be able to play it again 20 years later. The "Enhanced CD-ROM version" would make a great addition to GOG.
Loved this game so much! One of the finest adventure games. Would be a great addition to GOG library. Also would be a great bundle with Judgement Rites!
I want this game as well, if possible please keep the original DRM intact and include the required quadrant map. The reason being that unlike most conventional DRM, in Star Trek 25th Anniversary when jumping to the wrong system your presented with a starship battle. The unique thing was that even though they were very much like the kobiyashi maru scenario, you could win them.
Only own it on MAC, so it would be nice to be able to play it on my Windows PC without emulation
omg please add this the one with the voices, so amazing!
This is a wonderful game, and one of if not the best Star Trek game made. Adventure games like this are really the way to go to get that genuine Star Trek experience. I'd love to see it on GOG!
Best Star Trek game ever. :) It had its share of starship combat action, but the bulk of the gameplay experience was point & click adventure. It's all problem solving and exploring alien environments, which has more to do with what Star Trek has in the past been all about than the forthcoming action shooter.
I so want this after watching some game play footage. on the RPS site. www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/02/12/star-trek-into-trailerness/
I would love to be able to play this without DOSbox. Tried it on my Windows 8 machine with a gamepad and had a nightmare trying to figure everything out. But I still liked what I played - just hated the controller hassle.
Had this for our Power Mac, I never did get around to finish it though. (by the time I was old enough to figure stuff out, our mac died, and our ability to play the game with it.)
Still one of the best Star Trek games made. It really deserves to be on GOG.com.
SUCH an amazing game. My childhood, right here, along with Judgment Rites. This one to me always seemed to have a much darker feel to it while JR was, not cartoony, but lighter. I was more impressed by the graphics in this one than JR (though they are both very good). And the final mission? So intense. Last fight was a killer too. Still proud to be the only one in the family to beat it, haha.
This was an awesome game, and I'd love to have it available. Also the sequel Judgment Rites, which IIRC is very difficult to get working even with DOSBox.
Yo Quiero Star Trek 25th Anniversidad - Talkie Version
I started playing Broken Sword and was thinking about the old school point and click adventures that I used to play and the first one that came to mind was Star Trek 25th Anniversary. Maybe not talkie version but close enough
"now listen here you green blooded..." "gentelmen I think we have more pressing matters to attend to." No matter how many times I read this, I can STILL here the voices.
What I wouldn't give to be able to play this game again after so many years... If GOG is gonna put Star Trek games up for sale, they'd best start with this one.
This was a great adventure based on the series. I love them...
Cool! Good game--I voted 1up for it! Umm, I think that the "Talkie Version" that you refer to is actually, and offically, the 'Enhanced CD-ROM Version'. So, yes--I would love to buy 'Star Trek 25th Anniversary Enhanced CD-ROM Version' from GOG! hehehe
For sure, best Star Trek game.
