anotherthing I played the heck out of this game when I was a teenager. I had an Amiga, but they didn't put a lot of love in to the Amiga port. The graphics were pretty much the same and it was mostly controlled by the keyboard through text menus, but the game itself was good enough for me to push passed all that. I beat the game, but I don't recall the story. I do recall the fun turn based combat, ship battles, boarding enemy ships and taking them over, etc. This game and the two Buck Rogers games would be fantastic additions to my GOG library.
Mattaui Adding yet another wish to the pile! At some point in the not too distant past I played this, somehow - it must've been up on one of the abandonware sites to run from the browser. But now it's vanished from the world. Probably due to a new game reusing the title and thus sending out blanket takedown notices, or something of the sort. An old favorite of mine that introduced me to sci-fi RPG tropes that I still enjoy today.
ButterflyGreen Would love to see this as a GOG release. I tried running under DOSBox but one of my game files is dead due to a dying floppy disk original - so it's unplayable. Other sites are pointing here as if it is a GOG release but it isn't... so please fix that ;-)
Narf_the_Mouse It also had an Amiga version, which probably had better graphics and sound. It's the one I played, back when Amigas were new.
Captain_Seasick I agree with @BlueMooner. Some games just can't be made to work with their "original styles" on modern systems.
BlueMooner I loved this game back in the day. I loved getting as high rank for my guys as I could. However, EGA graphics and it's simple code makes me think this needs a remake more than a patch. Fans have remade Dungeon Master as well as Amulets and Armor. Somebody needs to remake this. Add full color and make it a sci fi roguelike and you're done!

starfox98011 I would LOVE to see this game done up by GOG. It is really fun. I had it back when i had my 286 system. I never had a chance to complete it. I know people have been getting it running with DOSBOX from reading other forums. This game (SSI from 1988) had six crew, upgradeable ship, weapons, missions, and while definitely dated graphics/sound, is a great fun game. Many thanks.
