A lot of games will never be published in the gog store it is a fact! For different reasons many games will never be published in the gog store - fuck_DRM policy (or at least gog trying to pretend DRM-free), absurd terms of cooperation that gog is pushing, support policy that is completely frustrating and disappointing, and of course non-professional personnel.

Tomcat_85 Even though GTA and GTA2 are free for quit some time now GOG could STILL put it on here and offer it for free like they do it with "Beneath A Steal Sky" or "Flight of the Amazon Queen". Simply because a) a lot of people find it hard to get those titles running correctly, especially GTA 1, since it runs way to fast on modern PC's and some people don't know how to tinker with DosBox and b) they have been important, groundbreaking titles of their genre and just have to be added to a site calling itself "good old games". That's at least my personal humble opinion.

vidsgame GTA 1 and 2 are no longer on Steam, although they are listed there.
GameFactory gta-2.giga.de ;) there you find the free and official gta 2 game in english and spanish.
Matruchus #Tornado8: GTA 1+2 was never freeware. Rockstar did offer it for free for some time but they never officialy released it as freeware.
Its the same thing as it was with C&C and C&C Red Alert that were available for free for some time from EA but were never officialy released as freeware and are sold in the C&C collection.
Tornado8 Quite simply. I can say this. This request will never be fulfilled. Simply because, GTA and GTA2 are freeware. Rockstar no longer allow you to download them from their site (like they did previously) And if GOG took up the titles, they would not LEGALLY be able to make any money out of it. IF they did do freeware titles, i expect alot of people to go nuts and ask, Well... WHY is this title not added GOG.
the truth be told, it is not going to happen. Should it happen, i would buy it. But quite simply, it is not going to happen and its highly unlikely to change in the future.

Dragon_Cam As of 2013 GTA 1 and 2 are no longer freeware. Rockstar decided to make money off of it so they added it to steam for a price instead.
Id like to see them come to GOG.

JoeShmo1 GOG is great because they take old games that people love, games that dont work very well on newer systems, and they fix all the errors so that they DO work on new pcs, I bought Deus Ex from GOG as soon as it came out, because the retail copy I own of the disc doesnt work on my pc with the 64 bit version of vista, but the GOG version DOES work, so I hope they obtain the license to sell GTA1 and GTA2 on here, I would love to replay both of those games and not worry about them crashing because they are old games

fonics_ @DCT try running it on W7 x64 and wait till it crushes. I assume it will take about 15 minutes. Probably on W8 it will be entirely impossible
Strijkbout Perhaps they can be offered as freeware here too, but fixed, because the GTA on Rockstars site doesn't work very well on newer systems.
