Cybermage: Darklight Awakening
We totally need this on GOG!
YEAH. I look back on this game from time to time, but it hasn't shown up on stores yet. If there's a game nightdive studios should do after their system shocking, it's this.
Strange that this oldie isn't available on GoG. Any reason why?
Yes! We need this one.
Been waiting for awhile hoping this title would show up
yes please
bring it on!
I bought this when it came out, I still have the CD, and would love to see it on GOG.
I bought this one (and the clue book) off of eBay a few years ago. Best purchase I ever made. Very rare nowadays, especially in good condition. Quite challenging but still fun, even compared to some of today's games.
Make, please.
I would love to see this on GOG as well. Maybe add mouselook and smooth out the rough gameplay edges a bit.
Would be Great
Yes please!
we need this game, please!
This review for the game looks great! www.youtube.com/watch?v=stlfQNzKdbc
Please add it to Gog.
I would buy this again.
I got a copy but it won't run with 10 so please give the people what they want :)
I don't know how many times I played this game back when I was able to run it, and I would play it again in a hearbeat if I could.
still not on gog ? what a shame ! give us this pearl already !
Please, GOG, please!
If at all possible, please add this game to your roster. It's a ton of fun.
I got into this game much later in life, and loved it's CyberPunk cheese. So good. Please add.
Hi-Res mode actually looks really good, even today. This game pretty much sums up what GOG is all about.
Please, add this game.
I'm sure I've posted on one of these threads before but we need this game!! One of my first computer games ever!
It really fits to GOG ... ;-)
We need this on GOG. So please bring us.
Yes, please.
please, please, please add it! thx a lot.
Great game, beautiful graphics, hellish difficult and great atmosphere.
A nice game that deserves to be on GOG. Definetely YES!
I have this on CD, and I can still play it in DOSbox, but I'd LOVE to have it on GOG
Saw this in a stream would love to be able to get it on gog ... please add (in case my first part wasn't clear enough).
Holy crap me and my brother used to play this all the time on a 1x CD drive even though it wanted 2x, but it's awesome! I still have it but I usually don't bother to go through the hassle getting it to run. Would gladly buy it from GOG like I did for most of my other old CD's (HoMM1&2 for one example) and any other old classics I used to play. Just thinking about it makes me nostalgic but I was only ten years old so.
I understand if it doesn't happen but pleeeeaaase *crosses fingers*
please please PLEASE release this on gog!!
I also have the CD version. But on GOG I don't have to keep picking out the CD when I want to play it ... ;-)
Great game that is sadly overlooked. It was released at about the same time as the original System Shock, which, rightly or wrongly, captured all of the limelight. CM was inferior to SS in some ways, but it was incredibly innovative for its time in others. As some have mentioned, CM featured, as far as I can remember, the first pilotable vehicles in an FPS game. That seems humdrum now, but we're talking back in the DOOM era, when running around in 3D with a gun glued to your chest was a pretty big deal. (DOOM was a jaw-dropping, wtf moment to us older gamers, something like the assassination of JFK was to our parents...)
In addition, CM featured NPC's who interacted--albeit in a very limited way--with you and talked to you...something completely missing from other games of that era, as well as some memorable level set-pieces, like the Attack of the Mung level (which placed you in a big, open, arena-like cave with endless hordes of exploding midgets pouring in all around you. It sounds ridiculous, but it was pretty friggin cool at the time. Many other levels were rather bland and repetitive, but there was enough of this kind of thing to keep you playing. The controls, though...omg, did they suck. They sucked even by the standard of the day, and that was low. I make no excuse for them, and that may be the single biggest reason why few ended up playing, much less completing, CM. But I loved it enough to suffer any indignity at the time, and I made it through--a point of pride for me, since I rarely complete(d) a computer game, no matter how easy or interesting it is/was.
So should you vote for it like I am? Yes, of course. And no, of course not. LOL. It's just one of those kinds of games...

"B-Rate cheesy 80s scifi comic book" - One of the best FPS genres for old games. Bring this one in I want to but it.
never beat this game back in the 90s, would love to finish it.

Please, please add this game!! This was my first video game ever - would love to relive the nostalgia!
Please GOG, add this gem of a game. :D
As it is now my bithday I will bump this.
We need this on GOG.
Would be nice to have another "hi-res" FPS of this vintage, other than Redneck Rampage and FPP RPGs there wasn't much FPS graphics above VGA's 200p standard in the 90s. Always figured non-polygonal games could have at least competed with crisp visuals like these bitd but that never happened. ^_^ Decent game though, please vote for it.
I remember this game. My favorite attack was an energy "barbed wire fence" attack that circled around the enemy, doing damage for the entire duration of the attack. Big surprise plot twist towards the end of the game made the game that much more memorable. Graphics were gee-whiz great back when Cybermage was released - but by today's standards, not so gee-whiz. When you buy a retro game, you get retro graphics. Just enjoy the retro goodness.
bump
I'd love to see it back in a playable form. I sold off my retail box copy a number of years ago. Last time I tried it (pre-DOSbox) I recall it ran *way* too fast on my hardware and had unusually high conventional memory requirements which made drivers difficult.
