lugum: already read on other forums that it wont work, but i have tried it but indeed it doesn't work.
also it would slow down the whole game, while only moving the cursor goes too fast.
thanks anyway.
as zork nemesis have the same problem on even windows xp machines it must be very badly programmed . but also gog should have tested things a bit better..
jpinsa: Weird, I'll check it again on my XP box, but if my memory serves me correct, the game worked fine and the panning speed was great.

also it would slow down the whole game, while only the screen moves too fast when you point the cursor left or right.
thanks anyway.

jpinsa: Most 90's games will have this problem of running to fast, even on XP boxes, this is due to the increase in performance technology of processors. Believe it or not I still have a box with Win98 from that era, that I use specifically for old games :-)
its unavoidable to have a (virtual) machine to play some of the older games.
i have a vmware setting with 95,98 and later xp since most games didnt work on 95/98
either. i also have access to a xp pc from my dad which i could try it on.
have played zgi years ago and it worked fine and i think it was on windows xp.
and i understand totally that most 90's games would run too fast or not at all.
but if gog is trying to make money selling these games they should work regardless
or even include a cpukiller setup (if that would work) which i think zpeed is that
runs along with the game , but not properly working and since it's an exe file you cant
edit it.
even if you move using the keyboard supposedly it would create problems in a puzzle
later on.
