That is because the word 'load' didn't become popular until the 90s sometime. You type 'save' to save and you are then prompted to enter a name for your save, . 'troll' . Then if you want to load the save game you type 'restore' . You will then be prompted to enter the name of the savegame you want to restore.

edit : this is atleast the way it works in the first zork game : underground empire

Yeah it's the same for all the Zork games really as well as the rest of the infocom titles since they all used some form of the same interrupter/engine which really was just a early form of a emulator
