I realize that this may be a lot to ask, but I'd greatly appreciate if somebody could keep this XIII remake installed and check in every once in awhile, to keep us hopeful souls informed on whether the game is worth purchasing, or how far off it still may be from becoming a solid, relatively bug-free experience :3 Yes there are patch notes to read, but I've got no idea if the bugs mentioned in those are well and truly squashed, or how the game as a whole might be.

Of course I was rather shocked when I saw the game's condition upon its launch, though I'm certainly optimistic for the future if "The teams are working relentlessly to provide you with regular patches to improved playing experience" (taken from the 'changelog' post in the GOG forums) is trustworthy, and still yet holds true.

It's totally fine if nobody is willing to participate, I just know that there are a good few potential buyers waiting on this sort of information. I, personally, love all of the remakes, remasters, and ports we're seeing today--so a game with as much charm behind its legacy, such as XIII, deserves a quality "definitive edition," lol.

To Microids, PlayMagic, or whoever is taking an active part in the fixing of this game (no matter how significant you feel your role may be; many of the "smaller" people can make biiiig differences): I know people were harsh back when this remake was launched, and I do hope you could see why. Regardless, I really appreciate anything you've already done or will do to fix it up. Seriously, developing games can be hard work, but I personally have a heck of a lot of respect for the folks behind the games I enjoy (as well as the games I don't). Please do well on this one--I know you've got real potential, and I really can't wait to see what projects come from you folks in the future :3
Whenever Remake gets an update, I always finish the game on that build. I didn't analyze the previous patches as deeply but I dived deep on the latest update.

I will keep on analyzing the game with the future updates, on InsideXIII Discord Server's #general section.

Ohh dang, that's awesome! Thank you! Unfortunately, Discord's got a policy that I really don't support, so I kinda decided a few years back that I wouldn't be using their service anymore. Sucks for me, yeah, but I still appreciate what you're doing there :3
If I may : what is this "policy" you are talking about ?
Does Discord sell our profil to North Korea ?

Ohh, heh, it isn't something that's gonna affect too many people (probably), but know that it was the perfect storm of inconvenience.

Basically, a few years back, I was re-installing Windows on my laptop and my phone just happened to fall into the toilet at the same time. Long story short, I had two-factor authentication enabled and hadn't backed up the txt file with all of my backup passwords... So since my phone was inoperable (that had all of my Google Authenticator data on it) and my laptop was just wiped clean, I had no way to sign back in. And no, one can't contact support to re-gain access to their account, no matter how many ways I'd be able to prove my identity.

My account still exists, and I still know the details... But I can't login because they won't let me prove my identity in order to do so (despite EVERY OTHER SERVICE giving that option). I'd gladly use it if they would LET me, y'know? But I won't make a new account. So as far as I'm concerned, Discord can eat a butt. Makes it difficult when some Patreon creators only distribute stuff via Discord, but thank goodness I haven't yet decided to monetarily support a creator who operates like that. :p

Looks like the development team is still busy and active. Kinda. The latest patch is from late February.

Heya,

any news? How's the the game's status? I'd like to grab it soon - at least if it's in an enjoyable state, of course :)

Best regards,

Last patch on Steam according to SteamDB was all the way back in June 2021, and despite the devs and publisher saying the game is not abandoned in a post from 4 months ago, considering the game has been receiving less and less updates since then, that statement is highly questionable.

And users over on Steam recommend not buying it even when discounted.
