Greetings

How to change language of the game ?

Does it need to redownload an entire different offline installer ?
Does it need to REINSTALL the game from the installer, but choosing the new language ?
Is it done through editing some .ini file or whatever ? (didnt find an option inside ingame option menu)
Is it done adding some parameter command to the shortcut ?

additional restriction in my personal case:
Is it possible to change the language of the game WITHOUT using Galaxy for that ? (i know that galaxy works a bit like steam on that regard, and steam's version needed to use the built-in steam client language changing option setting)

On console version, rather stupidly, it ties to whatever regional setting my whole system and user account is

Thanx in advance for any possible solution not requiring GOG Galaxy

if you go to the game in galexy, and click those sliders to the right of the purple play butten, go down to manage installation, then configure, it dose have a language tab. I cant say it will work, as i have never tired it, but i would assume it will change the langague in game with out have to redo the game, tho i dont know if it will just change it over or if it needs to get a new langague file.

Thanx for the help; though as i stated in my post, i'm currently looking for non-galaxy based solution

it's so strange that enemy unknown/within had a language selection within game settings menus, and xcom 2 doesn't, especially when every localized assets are all installed in the game folder

i contacted gog game support and answer was quite disappointing: their solution was to reinstall the game in the language i wanted

which is ludicrous: if i have to redo a full installation of over 70 gigabytes every time i want to switch language; especially when it must be a dumb switch/parameter in some hidden file, registery or %userprofile% but yet i couldnt find it

sry i havent responded, ive been away for a while, and i must have over looked that part about galexy.
thier response tells me that the likely have the download packaged by langauge, so ya that sucks that you would have to re do it all if you dont still have the installer handy.

actually, look under add\remove programs if you use windows. i know sometimes they have a "modify" option, or even sometimes "reinstall" (tho sometimes thats only after you click uninstall), so if you get lucky it might be able to do it easiler that way, i dont know how the game sets up its tab tho.
