[X4] So i got my Curbrus with my fighter on it, i see a pirate miner comming next to me.
I teleport into my fighter while i give a command to the heavy fighter to attack the mining ship,
a large burst of bullets fly by me from my heavy fighter as i fly toward the miner.
I make sure the miner turn its turret on my heavy fighter as i do my part

So far all is good right?

So the pirate miner hails a nearby Argon station asking for help, which they offer with joy
as a second later my "criminal record" was updated....

W-T-F ??? it was a pirate freighter!!! FFS!!!

After so much time, the devs completley ignored the mistakes of the past games?

Are you playing 2.6?

That definitely used to be one of the major annoyances of the game.

When you say pirate, do you mean SCA or HAT? The Argon and HAT are allies, and HAT aren't pirates so much as a Private Military Company / Mercenary group.

When I attack SCA ships now, the stations still complain, and they contact sector security to report an attack against them, but Sector Security just says, "Negative." Any rep you lose is with the station and temporary, rather than permanent faction wide rep harm.

That's how it's supposed to work, and seems just about right to me. The Station Manager is temporarily butt-hurt that he doesn't get to trade with the pirates, but the faction is smart enough not to care or send security ships to attack you.
