I REALLLLLLLLLY hope they fix all the BUGS!!!! I.E FLEET MANAGEMENT! having to micromanage all my mining ships etc etc is a total joke.

I'd like to be able to claim ships without a goddamn marine on crew. Had to leave a sweet Perseus behind because they wouldn't let me claim it. I'm really starting to hate this game.

I have not advanced far enough that I can say how good the fleet management is except I see there are at least some tools in place for handling it so you do not need to order around single ships only.

Actually, you only use marines to claim L/XL ships. For smaller ships, get out in your spacesuit and use scan mode (shift-2). There will be a leak near the ship's EVA hatch. Scan it and the ship is yours. The only crew you'll need is a backup pilot for your own ship, if you cannot teleport. :)
