As I've pointed here : https://www.gog.com/forum/general/wizards_warriors_workaround_for_strange_mouse_movement/page1

Try reducing the pooling rate of your mouse to 125Hz
Tried 125 with my logitech seemed better but still unplayable. I cant go lower that 125.
Nope, still lags :(

ciolan: Nope, still lags :(
Setting the pollrate to 125 and at the same time increasing the DPI made it much more usable for me.

(Mionix NAOS 7000 here)

Is it known what causes this mouse issue you guys are seeing? Other than odd controls, I can use the mouse to move and everything, and don't see any lag (I just keep going sideways because I am not used to the controls).
Changed my mouse and fired the other. Now the game is more responsible but weird because the game suffers from different sensitivities for X and Y axes respectively. Even with a very responsible mouse the game does not sense confortable enough.

I´ve seen also that choosing higher resolutions the mouse is more responsible as well but in my crappy laptop higher than d3d 640x480 is too slow.
DPI up to 3500 and polling rate down to 125hz improves but does NOT fix the problem.
There is the most annoying mouse acceleration/deceleration and lagginess I have seen in any game but one.

If a fix isn't found soon I will definitely ask for a refund.
Moving the cursor feels like WORK. And not the good happy work.
The worst thing is that there is not keyboard shortcuts at all excepting the movement keys, the interface is mouse centric by design. A pain.

Yah, you buy a game like this on GOG, you expect it to just work without having to jump through additional hoops... I never install the mouse/keyboard software for my stuff cause it's like bloatware to me... I make my profiles once, save them to the devices storage, then never touch the software again... don't wanna load all that stuff up again just to play this game
It was already fixed in the first hotfix.

It is definitey not fixed, it's only somehow "mitigated", which did nothing for me.

There is a huge difference between running the game on Windows 10 and running it in Wine - it's perfect under Wine.

I'll second what Kamamura said... it's definitely not fixed... slightly better, but still unusable
if i increase the res to 1024 the mouse works oke in horizontal and vertical movement.. Like there's a grid overlay the mouse needs to follow? is this the problem adressed here?

edit:

compability mode fixed this too ... win 95 service pack 3

I have heard that windows 10 users have now problem. I have windws vista, and 7, and thus have not gotten this game yet. Is it either a glitch/error on gog, or are they just going to trouble shoot for win10 since it seems everything is leading to that big mess of bs.

I will wait until someone finds a fix before adding to my collection.
