Hi, guys. I don't own this version of the game that was just released, but I did manage to get a boxed CD copy working on my Windows 10 system. The laggy / stuck mouse issue seems to be a result of the high polling rate of modern mice. My wired mouse defaulted to 1000hz with the standard windows driver. The game really wants 125hz instead.

Since I own a Logitech G400S mouse, I was able to install their "gaming software" (link below) which has a few features for their other products, but most importantly for this game it allows me to change the polling rate of the mouse. The standard Windows driver does not as far as I know. You could try Logitech's software to see if it works even with a different brand / model of mouse, but I wouldn't necessarily expect it to work. You'll likely need to do some searching for other software in that case. Hope this helps some people enjoy the game!

Second this!! used my mouse software to adjust polling rate to 125 and game now works as intended (mouse wise) havent
started playing yet because the mouse was the first hurdle (hopefully only)

For me changing to 125 helps, but definitely doesn't fix it.

Yeah, it works better, but holding down a mouse button still makes it wig out for me.
For those without name-brand mice, gog seems to have fixed this issue with a patch! Will test it out myself.

I cannot confirm that the problem was fixed (high poll-rate still has a dead-zone when moving the mouse slow). Do you have more information about this patch?

Just what has been written via galaxy's own patch notes only that it's been patched... I use galaxy's auto update feature, but I'll fire up my game right now and get back to you!

I saw the patch downloading in galaxy. The mouse problem seems to persist. But at least the compressed AVIs seem to be fixed in this release.

Yeah, it's still a bit sticky, but a bit more servicable at least for my mouse than before, I'll have to do a bit more configgin' though... Heh, I STILL have my virtual dub'd AVI files in an old install!

It helps a lot to also increase the DPI to eliminate the "dead" feeling.

Virtual dubbed AVIs - same here. :)
I changed my mouse and the sensibility turned very playable and much more responsble than before but with a little feeling of dead zone . I have no idea about the reason or technical process of this but maybe it can be a hint about the problem for anybody with more knowledge.

After the patch the mouse runs like before, decently and better, but I can´t say if it is the patch or my new mouse :)

I adjusted my Sensei to 4000 DPI (about 3x my usual) and that worked for me without changing the polling rate. That worked for me however if I move the mouse too slowly the response is poor even though I have no acceleration/slow enabled. I would experiment with both the polling rate & DPI, the 4000 DPI was a little too high for my Win10 desktop but the game seemed to adjust for it.
