I played for a while yesterday getting my character levels up to 5-6. Came back today to find I only have the option of creating a new game. My save file seems to have disappeared.
I'm wondering if others have experienced this and whether this is something to do with cloud saves and my terrible internet connection.

Did you save the game before logging off? Hitting "s" will bring up menu to save. Move down, cllick "z" and it will say the game has saved.

I mention this as I have lost a saved game due to forgetting to actually save.

Yes I saved almost every time I returned to town and I actually started the game the day before so it was on the third day that the save disappeared.

Did you start your game with Galaxy on and then try to continue without it, or vice versa?

I noticed that when I tried to continue without Galaxy after starting previously with Galaxy, it didn't see my saves. I think that, for some stupid ass reason, the game keeps separate saves for Galaxy and non-Galaxy users.
