Is there any other way to make gold other than making renewal potions with an alchemist? like editing files to add gold to your party.

If you want a non-cheating way to get money without Alchemy, I would suggest raiding the rapax areas, looting the enemies (they drop lots of stuff), and selling the loot.

Also, having a high Communications skill helps.

With that said, if your party doesn't have a Bishop in it, you probably don't need to get that much money until later on (the two most expensive buyable items are sold deep within rapax territory anyway, and the one quest item that's expensive to buy can be obtained through less ethical in-game methods), and if your party does, you have access to Alchemy anyway.

(Are there any Gadgeteer recipies that could get you money? Does the Tripleshot Crossbow sell for more than its ingredients?)

(As a side note, I think Sir-Tech overvalued spellcasting consumables in their games, and they should have been cheaper and more common from the beginning, particularly when you look at Wizardry 1's scrolls of HALITO/BADIOS.)

so this is old but I just now saw the replies and I tried using the editor but it doesnt work but the save files and characters work fine do you know a fix?

define 'doesn't work'... does it open if you run as admin?

see the 2 images i posted;
1. the editor lives in your game save folder with your saves
2. did you keep the Tob file I included and is that in the save game folder as well... see image

3. right click the editor and select 'run as admin'... does it open now?
yes = your antivirus is getting in the way but it should not be a major pain because you don't need to use this much
no = does it give an error message... again is both the files in your game save folder?

4. assuming it opens, click the 'open' tab and pick the save game you want to edit... see image

it gives me an error saying some of the files are missing but the tabcl32 is there and yes it's in my saves folder I got another editor to work but it's only for editing character stats
