I tried googling it, but the only one I found wouldn't run in Windows 7.

Essentially, I want to boost up my party's stats a LITTLE BIT so I don't have to roll characters for hours on end, y'know?
Which one would that be? The only one I've seen reference to is WizEdit and there's nowhere I've found to download it.
I don't remember the name of it, to be honest. But it ran through DOSbox and I couldn't figure it out.
DSCHEAT is the one that I use, which can be found here, as "Crusaders of the Dark Savant Editor." Note that this is a DOS program, and you'll need to use DOSBox to run it. Just unzip the whole thing into the DSAVANT folder, because it needs to be in the same folder as your save files. (If you put your saves someplace else, put it with them.)

It lets you change your items, spells, resistances, xp, etc, and even lets you move your party to wherever you'd like. If you add an item into the game, make sure to drop it on the ground and pick it back up before equipping it. This will make sure it has the appropriate stats. Occasionally an item cheated in with DSCHEAT will be missing some of its resistances or initiative modifiers, and that will fix it. There's a good chance you won't have to identify the item, either, which is nice. (This is dependent on which slot you create the item in. If that slot's most recent previous item was identified, the new item will also be identified. So if you move an identified item around to each slot in your inventory before using it, you won't have to ID the new one.)

Just make sure to make a backup beforehand, especially if you're using the teleport option. Make sure you check out the readme first, too.

The top edit program is WizEdit... you could need the extra file as well which is also marked on that page.
Aaaalrighty. Thanks, guys.

No mention of WizEdit there.

The top one of the editing programs has the link "Savegame Editor (Item addition for Wizardry 8)" but it is WizEdit.
Any hints on getting the editor to work all it says for me is component 'TABCLT32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered a file is missing or invalid
Scrap that got it to work but no good thought it was for wiz 7 silly me

You mean the one for Wiz8? How did you get it to work?

Don't know if it will work on your machine. I play it on an old XP and it works fine.
I'll take a look at WizEdit, though as I'm running the DOS version of 7 (and, more importantly, running it through DOSBox under Linux) I'm more using the DSCHEAT application. Though I do have a XP boot set up (mostly using for Wiz 8 now though).

And having taken a look at WizEdit... honestly, though it's not got the pretty interface, DSCHEAT offers more (it's easier to edit things like your race, class etc.).
