I'm going to run a party through Wiz 8 that although quite possibly unbalanced, should at least be interesting in one way or the other.

One idea is all Mooks. Three of them are monks using their bare hands and feet. A ranger, a mage and a bishop rounds up the party. Not sure how far they're going to get, but I've noticed the Mook monks have all their stats starting at least at 50 (unlike the 35 some of the stats of the other NPCs are). I'm considering switching one of the monks into a gadgeteer.

Another idea is all magic casters - two psionics, two mages and two priests.

Another idea, although not at all balanced (and definitely cheating), is to play as if Grimpak armed his "protection" with the very best weaponry and armour to be brought for 75,000 or thereabouts; the Lord would have half to himself and the rest split equally between the others. So you have a bunch of heavily-armed and armoured (for level 1) characters. No Mooks (playing it that Grimpak has been told to keep things very close to his chest, so no other Mooks). For this party I'm thinking lord, ranger, fighter, gadgeteer, psionic and bishop. Equally, perhaps to make it more consistent with the idea behind this scenario, I might exchange the gadgeteer with another fighter (or a ranger or bard), and replace the psionic (and possibly the bishop) with a mage (to represent a (albeit green) military force led by a noble or somesuch swayed by Grimpak's promises of money etc).

Any comments or suggestions?

I like the Mook party idea - let us know how you get on if you try it. Sounds a lot of fun to me.

Looks interesting, but remember that all your Mooks will have a status "Missing" when you'll go to grab Chaos Moliri in Arnika and I'm not sure how the game will handle this.

edit: Well, it probably shouldn't be a problem with at least 1 NPC in your party.

Interestingly enough, they haven't (only one has gone missing). This was with Vi and Myles in the party.
Yes, that 'visit' only takes a single character rather than every mook in the group (although the dialogue is a bit off because of that).
