Hopefully they'll get released but what bothers me more, is that the Japanese games aren't being localized here.
I mean, North America was nice enough to export the games over there, and Japan was very grateful. But when it comes to bringing their games here... they refuse. >_< that's fair...
Or maybe no-one simply bothered to ask to (or suggest to) import them in NA? I mean maybe Japan would be more than willing but the opportunity never came up, OR maybe this all goes back to the lawsuit and they just don't want to get caught in it?
advancedhero: I think that's what I'll do. I definitely am going to play Wizardry 6 and 7 at some point, they seem like very deep and fun games. Just thinking of the huge world of 7 makes my mouth water. ;)
rmontiago: I'm replaying 6 and going to go through to 8 right now. If you like huge open-world exploration, you are going to love 7 so much. I like 6 a little more for some reason, but 7 is absolutely amazing as well.
There are little things in 7 that bothered me that made me not enjoy it as much as 6. Seems like even the early monsters had bloated hit points, and extremely high encounter rate.. and eventually bumping into npc's like Jan-Ette constantly started to annoy the piss out of me. The story was great, and the writing is very descriptive. Don't take me wrong though, 7 is amazing, there it is a reason why it is highly regarded.
Probably already been mentioned here in this forum a few dozen times, but I definitely recommend you play the dos version instead of playing gold.
I think playing the Dos version would be better than Gold, because Gold is too fast. The battle text just zooms within a second. I can alter the text delay but it seems to only make it go faster.
