I'm just staring out, but it appears that all dungeon loot must be appraised at the item shop for its buy price? even if you have seen the same junk for the 100th time, you still don't know what it is, and you cannot sell it or use it unless its appraised? I know that item shops next to dungeons are traditionally shady, but this is downright criminal! how are you supposed to make any money, if you must buy your item from the shop even if you just found it in a dungeon?

Your Bishop should have the ability to appraise items. Granted, there's the possibility that they may become frustrated (which causes Fear status), but that goes away as you walk through the dungeon (or can be cured cheaply in the temple if you're impatient).

(You *do* have a Bishop, right? If not, you should really fix that, as Bishops are quite good in this game, especially since they learn Mage spells as fast as a Mage (aside from increased XP requirements), learn Priest spells on top of that (albeit slower than a pure Priest), and eventually learn the really nice Magic Wall ability.)
