jsjrodman: This looks pretty good!
I'll have to give it a try to see how it compares to my standby of inkscape.
What are the dependencies? What would it take to port it to OS X? Is the file format fullly documented? (I tend to decide to finish a game 8 years later and pick up my maps where they were).
HiddenAsbestos: Thanks, hope you like it :-) I'll have to give it a try to see how it compares to my standby of inkscape.

Dependencies for the Linux version are GTK3 and libpng12.
The internal .GCT file format isn't documented but you can export to a fully documented binary or XML format in the Pro edition (the intention was for that to be used for game development). I like to think that GC will still be around in 8 years though :-)
I have no plans to make an OS X version at this time, but it would be nice to do so one day.
If you're not interested, that's OK. It's still a neat tool! I might even try using it over remote X from my Linux box.
