I am intrigued by the negative comments about the KB/M handling so I will try to download the demo to see what the fuss is all about! At any rate, I registered to get it on March 24th!

What is described in those comments, for me sounds like the way to play. As a matter of facts, that is exactly how the games I have been playing for the past 25+ years are operated! And I make sure that, when I can, I set the keys mapping that way, with only difference is the CTL button for crouching/hide.

I'll post another comment after I tried the game. Either to confirm what I just said, or make excuses to the other comments.

This message is not intended as starting a polemic about KB/M handling, just to express my astonishment at so many negatives comments about it!

I look forward to your report as it's the kind of game we like in our household, but not if the controls are a complete mess.

Here's hoping you can rebind the keys and make it playable, and/or that the devs can perhaps fix some of it in a future update. I'd be interested in picking it up if it's playable, but life's too short for broken.
too bad there is no support for a joystick...

Hi shadowfey.

I can confirm that all the negative reviews you are going to find on Steam are completely truthful.

Cheers.

I'm afraid I have to agree. At least in the current state of the game.
It's very janky, and you can't take cover against wall if you're already next to it. You have to walk away a bit, till (if you're lucky) you get the sign to be able to get in the cover. Also it seems to miss some button presses etc. which sounds like they (gasp) might have put the key handling in Update loop. Also it stutters a lot, which might cause some button presses to be missed too.

Fighting is a bit of a mess and I usually just button mash till the other side dies as I never remember the controls. Now after (spoiler) I got to the cart and moved to the next area my save game "is too big" for GOG galaxy apparently. I hope they're not saving everything

Also the game is so dark, and the view is very limited it's painful to try and play on ultrawide. Hard to see the enemies. Maybe I'll just go back to Thief. :(

There is full controller support even in the demo.
