Just received a copy of WC Prophecy from eBay seller, installed it fine and been playing it no problem, but the game seems to have killed my Internet, I am now posting online as I have uninstalled the game.

Should I contact the seller and tell her about this? Or is there something I can do to fix it? I have Windows 7 64 bit.

No replies? I have Windows 7 64 bit, someone on here told me that WC Prophecy works on that OS.

I have Googled, and there is nothing to suggest there is a problem with the game so I don't know why installing it kills my Internet.

Please help me.

People aren't just not responding because they don't want to insult you. They're not responding because this is a really weird fucking problem. Take your own advice and don't post insults here.

I'll throw you a bone OP. IIRC, your computer was set up by a sibling or friend that went hardcore medieval on anti-virus/firewall/etc. You should check the logs of any of those programs you are still running and see if they got a hit from the wing commander prophecy exe file. Maybe it is tripping somthing that is throwing up some type of firewall defense.

You could also reinstall the game, then slowly disable each of those protection programs and see when/if your internet comes back.

In the end it turned out to be a network issue that killed my Internet, not Wing Commander Prophecy, as I have the game installed and I'm posting now.

So the Mods can lock this now thanks.

Hmm, just loaded the game, clicked on the mission briefing for the next mission, and the game says it has failed due to lack of hard drive space! I just checked and there is over 200 Gig left on C drive so WTF is wrong now?

I am done with Wing Commander games after this, too much hassle running them under Windows 7 64 bit.
