Topic.

I recently went on www.wcsaga.com and downloaded the game, extracted the files and installed the game, now it doesn't work.

I have Windows 7 64 bit.

WTF?!

Maybe because Wing Commander Saga was made for Windows 95 and like most titles made for Win 95 it has serious issues running on 64 bit windows

If you think about "Kilrathi Saga" then yes, it was mad years ago for Win95. "Wing Commander Saga" is fan made project and OP should ask on their forum.

That issue has been addressed at their homepage wcsaga.com download the patch and it should work

Ugh, they release non-working software and then patch it? Sounds like an EA game.

Ugh, I just downloaded the patched version, installed it, ran it, and it did a "fatal exception" error!

WTF is this crap?

No response yet. Typical, they released half arsed games that don't work, and don't respond when you contact their technical support.

You do realize that WC Saga is a FAN made project, right? I installed it and it ran just fine on my PC, both under 32bit and 64bit OS's.

Given the number of problems you have running things, maybe its your computer that's messed up?

And if you asked them for support the same way you ask for it here, I'm not suprised they gave you the cold shoulder.

Am I the only one who gets amazed when a person gets something for free and then complains about it?

Having had that small vent, I know it will run just fine, I finished it months ago.
