Whenever I go to a new location prompting a video the resolution changes causing delay and annoying screen switching. I’m using output as OpenGL. I tried ddraw and that fixed the transition but instead I get weird blurry text that looks old like it’s melting on screen.

Any ideas? Help me!

Set scaler to none, and use either directdraw or openglnb.
Tried, didn’t work.

The only way i can stop resolution changes is using ddraw but then the graphics are all messed up.

Try editing the .conf and set:

fullresolution=desktop
Also set aspect=true otherwise there might be some stretching.
I managed to fix this with WC3's DOS settings. You can run it from Galaxy under "More" => "Other" => "Launch settings". It'll go through some steps, after the Gamma correction test it'll show a screen with some text on scaling. Press "Y" on this screen to force WC3 to use some vieo mode that fixes the problem. Then continue until you get the option to save the settings.

NOTE: the installer forgot the music and sound settings for me, so you need to set these up again before saving. Picking the first "Soundblaster/compatible" with all default settings worked for me (and presumably for everyone since it's being emulated in the DOSBOX). Make sure you set this up for both music and sound separately.
a few years ago, someone made a Windows95 patch for the DOS version

gog.com/forum/wing_commander_series/wing_commander_iii_win95_version/page1
its compatible with sol's DDhack and Dege's Dgvoodoo2 ddraw, also it enables functionality with steam and discord
