No matter what I do, the game jumps to the Proxima system and ends up on a never ending mission. Even if I successfully conclude the mission, this is the outcome. Has anyone been able to complete the game? The missions are messed up.
That's how the game works. Once you reach a certain point, there's no turning back.

If you want a good ending, you have to start over.

Sounds like you failed too many missions. You need to reload an earlier save (if you have one) or start over.

As the others pointed out, you have reached that specific end game track due to how you have performed on missions. If you need some help, check out a game guide here - http://www.wcnews.com/guides

There is a bug in my version. I can suceed on all the missions and when I sucessfully conclude Blackmane 3 it takes me to Proxima instead of Ariel which forces an ending.
It still isn't as bad as "Deus" Effect 3
