I bought all Wing Commanders on sale a while ago, with a plan to beat all of them for the first time. However Wing Commander 1 doesn't let you move and shoot at the same time, I believe 2 had a similar issue (maybe it was that you can't autofire in 2?) Either way my plan to beat them all stopped right there. I didn't bother refunding the games since I got them so cheap, but I was disappointed since GOG releases are supposed to guarantee 100% playability.

I didn't have this issue with the first two games at all.
Are you sure you couldn't move and shoot at the same time?
Or are you referring to the impossibility to yaw and roll at the same time?
Or just that button 2 basically only allows to either fire missiles or rolling?

What are you using for controls? Mouse and keyboard? Joystick? Gamepad?

I haver the same problem actually.
Using keys
IF i shoot the movement keys stop working and the last key pressed for movement just keeps going on and on untill i stop firing.
Seems you can not have more then 1 key pressed at any time or somthing

What keyboard do you have? Maybe you have a model with very low key rollover. A half decent keyboard would solve that.
