I'm not sure what seems to be the problem but I can't take 3 cargo runs to different locations without the other 2 failing or going away. I thought maybe it was some sort of permissions issue with windows 7 so I ran the program as administrator and that made it worse and unable to load or save any games. Other the than that the game seems to work very well. Any advice?

Im pretty sure that is the correct behavior in Privateer, all mission cargo is offloaded when you land anywhere. You need to make sure all cargo missions are to the same location.

I have a copy of the original game maybe I will try and load it up in a copy of dos box myself and test it.

That's the rules of this game. If you don't like it the you can play not-original game made to "play" like Privateer... :>

I did test my personal version and that is the way it is I have no issue with it was just curious I played these games when they were new. Finding GOG.com 2was like giving me a chance to relive these games 20 years later LOL and yes I am dating myself :-)
