rlnonay: Running win 7. I see the people, but no creatures at all...
Only got through the starter temple ( died 5 times due to unknown sources of damage). Shooting invisible basilisks took a while...
And frequently empty areas just causing damage just standing there. No spikes, plain floor or grass, 5-10 damage per second being lost...
Looks like I wasted cash on this one if its so buggy,,,
I dug into steam forums and there have been few reports of what you are seeing. Three possible causes and solutions have been suggested but unfortunately none of the aflicted seem to have reported the results or even if they tried any of them:
1st is, as I already mentioned, outdated graphics drivers. Due to use of OpenGL, game requires quite recent graphics drivers. If yours are outdated, please update.
2nd and 3rd are basically same thing. If your system has secondary integrated graphics card you may need to update it's drivers as well. Other problem with this setup is that your computer wont nessearily switch to using the dedicated craphics card when it should and you may be running Windforge with the integrated one. If that is the case, you may have to force computer to use the dedicate one. Unfortunately I don't know how. Bios setting? Driver setting?
Just to verify, does your craphics card have 512MB (minimius requirement) or more of dedicated ram (this is different from your system ram) and are your drivers up to date (at least from last year or so)? What model it is and is it ATI card (majority of problems seem to be with ATI cards. The one's experiencing same as you were ATI mobility radeon HD 5650 and Radeon HD 5145. Third did not reply to devs request for detail.)? Also is your computer laptop?
You could contact both GOG support and developer (contact@snowedin.ca) about the problem.
