What kind of specs your laptop has? My laptop barely meets the requirements but I probably wait till I upgrade before buying this.

It's not your laptop. A lot of people are reporting bugs and crashes.

It hasn't happened to me yet, but a lot of people are reporting that their saves aren't saving or are becoming corrupted and crashing the game when you attempt to load them.

I've crashed while clicking on things in the crafting screen. (And then the error reporter crashed!)

I've instantly died multiple times from jumping 3 blocks high and hitting my head on the ceiling (very irritating when you haven't saved in the last 30 minutes because you've just been mining... and now have to go repeat it).

I've had laggy bits (I assume the occasional "lag spikes" are from the game auto saving), especially in the first town. It started out fine, but got laggier and laggier as I stayed there. A memory leak, maybe? It cleared up when I loaded a save (see grappling hook below), but then started to get laggy again.

The hit detection is poor. The "wolves" (snaugs? something like that) seem to only be able to be hit in the head. I've watched bullets pass right through their body without doing damage. I had similar problems with the temple boss at the start. Unless that's intentional, in which case, WTF? {{EDIT: After playing a bit, I think this was my error. The game lets you shoot at placed objects, but seemingly ignores other things that the bullet passes through, so I was probably shooting at a platform or something without realizing it. Frankly, I don't like this feature, at least not without a key being held to toggle it on. I tend to aim ahead so I can see what's up there and end up unintentionally shooting at background crap all the time. It also seems to interfere with shooting the pilot of enemy craft. The bullets ignore him and hit some other thing I was pointing at to lead the target. (Because of my ship's gun placement, I need to keep the pointer near the target in this particular case; I can't just aim at open sky.)}}

I had the grappling hook glitch out, causing me to fall to my death. It... I dunno, it hooked the rock, but then "ricocheted" at a downwards angle and went in a straight line... while I fell to my death with a long "V" of rope above me, hehe.

Your stash (Edit: and, as I've since learned, your inventory) only displays quantities up to 999, though it does store more than that (I thought I was losing my stone blocks until I went to take them out later to sell some and that display showed the proper amount).

And despite all that, I'm enjoying it so far. If you can't deal with bugs, I'd definitely suggest waiting for a patch or two.

According to the developers webpage, they plan to release a patch on Friday the 14th of March...... Keep your fingers crossed :)

Patch has been deployed on steam and has been send to other stores (). Unfortunately not all corrupted saves are recoverable and [url=http://steamcommunity.com/app/266170/discussions/0/558750717169282586/]crashes are still an issue.

My impressions are that of death and slippery shoes. Gravity is a harsh lass.

Most of my deaths have been due to careening right off the edge of anything, and more due to jumping through the gap of airships.

The major suggestion I'd make is edge gravity. Even if this is an age of airships, they should still have an aversion, if not a stronger one to edges, seeing as it can be a fall into lethal gas, or you could plummet from the top of the world right to the bottom.

So did I misunderstand the story right, or did religious nutjobs really get away with banning technology? I have to admit that the many issues this game has made me rather apathetic toward the storyline, and even that I honestly find holes in. If the SOC is so influential, then why are there so little signs? With only 3 towns of value and a smattering of supposedly restricted temples that any idiot could find while flying about the world, I wasn't really able to see any signs of a SOC temple. A world may have been designed, but there's not much worldbuilding from a story perspective. When a NES game can outperform your game in terms of worldbuilding, I think you might have done something wrong. Only three enemies is even named, it seems.

A secondary suggestion is of a splash screen while the game loads, because to stare at a white screen while a game loads typically makes one think the game won't.

Ah, taming whales. I finally did it, and...boy, is it utterly pointless. Due to the way the camera functions, you can't really make heads or tails of anything, even if you basically hang yourself off the front of the whale. And that's with no zoom. Also, the moment I dismounted one to try and see how literal the 'almost' of the repair tool is, it whips around to go attack an airship (that had fired on us), leaving me suddenly at the mercy of gravity.

That brings me to the next point: The lower third of the world. Is the poison gas going to go away once I actually do something in the game, or is it going to sit there like an unpleasant guest? Because if its the latter, that just makes the entire thing a tedious affair of low visibility, deadly krakens, and what appears to be nothing of worth during the few scouting runs down to the bottom of the planet. Sure, I have an air purifier, but its about as effective as simply keeping the doors closed.

Oh, that's neat. Status effects that carry over even in death. Yeah, that's logical. (???)

Also, should dangerous air pirates really be within 8 squares of a city that has a 'King' figure?

This is just an observation, but if these flying whales are so rare, then what is one doing within easy sight of major landmarks?

Also, I must windchime in on the matter of rebindable keys.

I suppose I shouldn't make mention of the broken economy where healing balm costs more than whale oil and a large amount of items are absolutely and utterly redundant?

One last thing: Isn't 'Deity' a more gender neutral term than 'god'?
