£22.99 for an indevelopment, no no no no no no

2% off, no no no no no no

People really should stop buying indevelopment software it is getting absolutely rediculous with it.

They will selling the idea they have soon, oh, they do already it's called kiskstarter.

Pretty ironic that the game is called We Happy Few, I would think they are when people throw this
sort of cash at their indevelopment game

Not for me I am afraid.

Your song's lyrics need some work.
You can just wait until the game is released. Did you know it, or did you not not not not not not know?
To get straight to the point, currently there is very few things to do in the game, except walk around a lot and do a few simple tasks and crafting. This title does show promise but don't spend your money on this yet unless you are really sure you want to support the project.

The concept is fascinating, reminding me very much of Brave New World by way of a soccer riot. However, this doesn't seem like the sort of thing that will take well to procedural generation (which only suits challenge games, really). I'm definitely in the "wait and see" mindset for this one, especially at this high a price.

Anyway, color me intrigued. Watching the trailers, my actual thought was "now *this* is a society that needs a bit of good old-fashioned terrorism." Does that make me a bad person?
Actually it reminds me in terms of atmosphere and visuals like Bioshock series - it looks like a game I would enjoy, but I will wait a while longer before "buying in"
I just tried it.

It's promising but quite empty and full of little problems (the most annoying one so far is good old fashioned NPC that won't shut the hell up, repeating the same lines over and over again, a la Skyrim).

So for now I'd say, just wait and see how it'll goes.

Devs are pretty active and posted quite a lot of status updates / game updates over the time, so it might be a good one day.
I also think it's unreasonable to ask full price for an in-dev title regardless of how good/bad it is. You're asking people to give you money based on your 'ideas' or 'vision' of the final product.
The only in-dev sales model that is fair IMO is the one where the price is based on how much of how complete the game is (50% complete - 50% of the final price).
Of course games that are kickstarted almost never do it because it would upset the backers who often paid MORE to get the game eariler - which is upside down of how it should be.

I bought it too and it shows great promise. Happy to support the dev. The most important thing for me is that it is DRM free and here, I'm safe.

I too found it quite empty but I did only walk around for 40-45 minutes. I could speak to characters but it was sort of saying random stuff they did not do much with what I said. It's fantastic the devs are active and I so look forward to more content with future updates..

Thank you devs thank you GoG

Not sure what the OP means by the discount, I didn't see any discount at all when I bought it.

It originally had a 2% in when the devs dream appeared for sale.

You game players really have top buying into this sort of thing, so many games on steam like this
have been dumped or stopped by the devs, and yes I did buy into one once on steam, got burnt by a
complete mess of a game that the devs just dropped.

This is my first full price game. I always wait for sales. One title I waited over a year but eventually it was on sale so I got it. I much rather wait even a long time than pay full price. This title is my first and likely only exception. There is no indication this is getting dumped by any means. Sure it is a risk, not sure what GoG would do in that case. Is there a time limit for "in dev" ? or updates ? This I don't know.

I saw it straight away and never saw the 2%. In fact that amount is a ittle insulting, should not even be offered really. Anything under 10% is no point really. I only go when games are 30+ % off preferable 60+

Got burnt too, but I also bought and enjoyed other early access / in dev' games.

Assault Android Cactus is a prime example on how you get those things done.
Ziggurat is another.
And I have good hopes for Crosscode even if the game is in this state since ages... because, well, you can see how much work and love is put in the project with each update.
