Honestly, the pricing policy is what makes me pass on Wasteland 2 for the time being.

Here on Gog I pay 40 € for the so called Classic Edition a.k.a. the version with extras I deem useless anyway. Yes, I get 10 € back, but I have to spend this money on Gog, so it is "lost" anyway.

In my local store I get the Ranger Edition for 40 € that comes with some physical goodies, for which I am a sucker and I get the Classic Edition for 25 €. And my local bookstore offers the Ranger Edition even for 36 €. Well, the only problem with this is that the retail version needs Steam and I will not buy it for that very reason.

So I have the option to get it for a lower price and with physical goodies I would like, but I would have to accept Steam. Or I get it DRM free, but with extras I don't care about and for a higher price. Right now I feel like the cow that can't decide between two haystacks and finally drops starving.
I agree.
I completly agree with AngryAlien, I already have many gog vouchers so I will wait a little bit for this one.

AngryAlien: Steam kills kittens
The Steam version is just as DRM free as the gog version. It's just a delivery mechanism. This is why I personally won't be buying Wasteland 2 until it requires Uplay that launches Origin which launches Steam which installs SecuROM overwriting my boot sector and murdering my wife.

You have to have principles.

Upvoted for wit and for pointing out what ~80% of all GOGers can't get through their thick stubborn skulls.

I'm also getting more and more depressed with the increasing computer illiteracy among today's self-identifying PC gamers.

Wow, I really have issues.

Yes, you have to have principles and because of that I did not buy the game at all. Maybe in a sale, we will see.

But I am curious. How and why do I deserve being insulted by you? At least three times in only two sentences? (Which is a feat on its own, I give you that at least.)
@Angry I don't think you said anything wrong about Steam. Only that you preferred not to use it. Dunno why that would be the tiniest bit controversial. Especially when voiced here at GOG.

I don't like Steam because they have a monopoly on a lot of games. Monopolies are bad for consumers. I prefer to give my cash to any competition that they might have.

I'm sorry you are such a humorless person. <- the first time I've ever insulted you.
