himeraz: California is fine for the most part, just make a save before enterying Hollywood, most bugs are there.
How far into CA before you hit Hollywood?
avatar
kismet23: So, where can I find the new Patch?
avatar
Coelocanth: Not here yet (well, inXile have given it to GOG, but I assume GOG is testing before rolling it out). I'm hoping it appears soon, as there are a number of fixes for California and I'm just about to go there.
GoG also wraps it in their own installer/patcher so I guess patient!

(I've had to stop playing temporarily; I'm smack dab in bugtown.)

There's quite a few places before, you can start California while they put the patch up.I highly doubt you will get to Hollywood before they do.
Where is the Mac OS X version of the patch?
My patch was only like 110.mb! What the heck is going on here? The steam version is 2.4 gb almost 1g bigger than the supposed GOG version if it actually worked.

What is currently on GOG is the first patch, 2nd one isnt up yet. Steam patching system is different, Steam just downloads the new modified files and deletes the old, so essentially it patches nothing it just replaceds old files with new ones. GOG system uses a patcher to unpack files, modify them and repack them. GOG system means smaller downloads but longer patch times and deployment.
Haha, those goofs. Why rename patch 1 to patch 2.1 when it's the same thing? Causing lots of confusion around the community here. Ah well!

They've been drinking the fluoridated water too long.

Well its technically correct. Game version is 2.0.0.8 on download and Patch 1 updates it to 2.1.0.10. They had it named incorrectly before.
Has anyone alerted GOG to the blunder here they may think they actually made the new patch available since the version information was changed?

Yeah. Thing is they still have it named incorrectly. If they're being that picky about version number on the label, they should put the full version number. Of course if they change it again now it'll just cause even more confusion :)

Actually that's a really good point. They did screw up the listed file size on Patch 1, er, 2.1.

I went ahead and submitted a support ticket re: the version number currently available.
I swear the computer illiteracy that is spreading across this forum is KILLING ME. GOG installer version != Game version. When I was just a young gamer, PC gamers knew wtf they were doing. Now it is "I double click and it is not working".

The communicated installer version is bogus "setup version" either way it is dung so i agree with Himeraz. Not exactly sure what Sufyan is complaining about. There is one thing being communicated and another being given and in this case there would have been no way of knowing without actually attempting the download! The situation has nothing to do with PC gamers competence. I think someone needs to re-examine their thinking.
