dal: To install 2.2 you have to download again 2.1 and install 2.1 first (this time 2.1 really 1,5 gb size). Then you can install 2.2. It works for me at least.

BTW old 2.1 link was to patch_wasteland2_2.1.0.10.exe
Now 2.1 actually link to patch_wasteland2_2.2.0.11.exe and 2.2 to patch_wasteland2_2.3.0.12.exe
Hey dal!
Works for me.

Pretty confusin' that the 2.1 patch from last week is different from the 2.1 patch from this week!

dal: P.S. I see you have Mac version. Can't help you here.

leommj: The numbering (Patch 2.0.2.3) is indeed from the Mac version.

And I am too having problems installing it. Did anyone suceed at installing the patch on a Mac?

(This is the "Patch 2", 1.8GB. There is also the hotfix, just a few MB, numbered 2.0.2.4).
after 7 attempts I just gave up. load of crap. so pi**ed with it.

Sooo it sounds like patches for Mac are broken. Anyone got a fix?
I'd like to propose that gog name the patches L2.2, M2.2, or W2.2, for example (Linux, mac, windows). So that all discussions about problems won't go in circles as people gradually figure out what systems people are talking about.
Seeing a lot of reports about the Mac patch so have to assume something is wrong with it. We've put in an inquiry with GOG.com (again, we're not involved directly with patches).

Thanks for the attention.

Just to confirm the problem, I'm on a Mac and I think I was current before this latest patch and hotfix. The Wasteland 2 app on my hard drive is version 2.1.0.2 and I get the 'install failed' message when applying the 1.8G patch.

I believe Mac patch just can't be applied
Hello everyone,
I see there is some confusion about installing patches for Wasteland 2 on OSX.
I'll try to clear it as much as I can.

Remember that all versions in this post are for GOG builds.

Currently there are three things to download.
1.) Wasteland 2 at version 2.2.0.4 (most current build)
2.) Wasteland 2 patch from version 2.1.0 to 2.2.0.3
3.) Wasteland 2 patch hotfix for version 2.2.0.3 to 2.2.0.4

You can check your current version of the game by selecting your "Wasteland 2.app" game bundle and pressing [Space] button.

If you have version 2.2.0.4 then you are up-to-date and ready to go ;)
If you have version 2.1.0.2 or 2.2.0.3 then you need to download updates.

So the right order to install is:
Wasteland at version 2.1.0.2 => Patch to 2.2.0 => Patch 2.2.0 hotfix

If your patch process still fails you can see whats going on in this log file:
$HOME/Library/Application Support/GOG.com/GOG.com Patcher/PatchLog.log

Remember that all versions in this post are for GOG builds.

Hope that helps. If you have any questions do not hesitate to post.

I'm having the same problem I had when I posted earlier. I have version 2.1.0.2 currently installed on my hard drive. After your post I re-downloaded the patch to 2.2.0 and again tried to apply it. I again received the 'install failed' message at the end of the patching process. Since the Patch to 2.2.0 failed I did not try the hotfix. My PatchLog.log contains the following:

[ERROR] Patch failed
com.gog.1207665783.english
Installing patch in: /Applications/Wasteland 2.app
Processing: /Applications/Wasteland 2.app/Contents/_CodeSignature/CodeResources

Perhaps, as you suggest, it will be useful in telling you what's going on but since I'm not a programmer I have no idea what it means.

Thanks again.

Just for the sake of clarity, the patch I unsuccessfully tried to install is listed as "Wasteland 2 patch 2.2" on my account page (that's the button I press to begin the download), but the actual file that is then downloaded was named "patch_wasteland2_2.0.2.3.pkg" - this is correct, yes?

Yes, the patch pkg is correct.
Could you please verify that file: /Applications/Wasteland 2.app/Contents/_CodeSignature/CodeResources exists within your bundle?

You can open game bundle by right clicking or (CMD + click) Wasteland 2.app and selecting "Show Package Contents"

same exact problem. won't work with either mac patcher, they both fail. :(
Ok I managed to get the patch working.

I usually install GOG games to a separate folder in Documents instead Applications on my Mac.

I noticed there was no file called "CodeResources" in file: /Users/USERNAME/Documents/GOG/Wasteland 2.app/Contents/_CodeSignature/

(See _Lectral's post above)

I still had my original .dmg file for 2.1.0.3 in the Trash so I reinstalled the game to Applications and "CodeResources" was in file: /Applications/Wasteland 2.app/Contents/_CodeSignature/

I installed the 1 MB Hotfix only and the game patched to 2.2.0.4.

So maybe the problem seems to be "CodeResources" not appearing/disappearing when the game is installed anywhere other than the Applications folder?

Hope this helps anyone who has the old .dmg file – a bit less time consuming than downloading the whole thing again...

then perhaps you could explain why the 2,2 patch being downloaded (not the bloody hot fix but the patch, so tired of people constantly mixing those 2), the only patch supplied by GOG (not the bloody hot fix, but patch!) still shows 2.0.2.3 and not 2.2.0.4 you claim that it should be. And that is THIS bloody thing (patch, not hot fix) that won´t install but every time cancels and give you "error, unable to install, contact developer" message? Actually, don´t bother answering. I couldn't give a FFF about this crapy game anymore. What a bloody waste of money.

Well, this is awesome. Been trying to reply to the message above for about ten minutes. I type in my message and when I hit the "post my message" button, the spinning wheel says "processing, please wait" and it just keeps on spinning and spinning. Joy. Let's hope this one goes through.

Anyway, to answer _Lectral's question above:

My "_CodeSignature" folder is completely empty, there is no "CodeResources" within. User mwallace678 suggested maybe this is related to the game being installed in a folder other than Applications, but mine is installed in the Applications folder. I followed the path you outlined above and it's empty.
