Same here. The patch takes like 15 minutes to install and then it says there has been an error....
2.1.0.9? Not 2.1.0.10?
When did you download the patch?

When did you download the patch?
In my case it says Update from version 2.0.0.8 to 2.1.0.10, but still crashes.
I downloaded it 30 minutes ago.

I downloaded W2 twice yesterday evening (10 hours ago) just to make sure it wasn't a download/corrupted files problem.

Crashes, or gives you similar error to Izual's?

There is little I can do, as I'm currently neither at work nor at home. :/

The same error as Izual.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's related to the way GoG patches games, or to GoG patcher itself. It doesn't seem to be related to W2, as users seldom report this error message... Have you ever heard of that message popping up for other games?
I'm using Win7, if that helps.

OK, just to be clear:
- you downloaded WL2 installer 2.0.0.8
- you installed it (there was no previous install present or you uninstalled it beforehand)
- you downloaded and run WL2 patch 2.1.0.10 (run it just once)
- ...and got wrong file version errors

Is that correct?

I know fairly well when it appears and what can cause it, I just need to be certain of user's actions beforehand.

Absolutely (but the main installer I get from GOG is 2.0.0).
I'm updating from 2.0.0.8 to 2.0.10 and the GOG patch crashes halfway through completion.
Before installing the patch : the game works quite well, but I had a crash every 15 mn.
After installing the new new patch : the game crash after every loading.
patch crashed halfway with "XXXX out of range" error before it finished. but now the game won't load, had to reinstall the game.

I'm just gonna wait for patch 2

Well, I updated the game today, and everything works just fine. Wasteland 2 runs even better than before and hasn't crashed yet.

It is annoying when an update goes boom in your face. This has happened to me and yes very frustrating. The reason was the same, a bad update file from GoG, fast corrected by them but still happened.

I had to re-install the game from scratch, then apply the latest update again, then everything worked for that game.

If you're having problems, you may need to re-install the game and apply the latest update.
Did this three times already. Obviously I've got some nasty rare bug occurring.

It would seem so.

If the update fails even on a newly installed game on your machine yet that doesn't happen on other machines, yes that is really unlucky. Hope you get that solved.
