I can play the game for some time until it randomly crashes, giving me the message "wl2.exe has stopped working"
my specs
GPU: MSI R7 370
CPU: AMD FX-8350 8 core
RAM: 8 gb G-skill
HARD DRIVE: HYPERX FURY SSD
OS: WINDOWS 10

NOTE: all drivers are up to date and none of the solutions posted work

Same here with Win7 and 8GB ram; after an hour or two the ram is completely consumed by W2, resulting in CTD.

Well, you should be good to go on that score, then. I asked because an early beta set, the 15.9's (released for a day or two), had a memory leak that was fairly severe. But they fixed that with the 15.9.1's and of course all later drivers like the 15.10's are A-OK. I'm waiting on GOG to give me my copy of the DC and I'm running Win10 so when I can I'll come back and let you know what problems, if any, I'm having.

i tried it out using the stable version(non-beta) , but to no avail , seems to be either an amd issue with the game or a windows 10 issue with the game

The amount of crashing i'm getting is rather crazy, random and most of the time while working in the character screens, haven't been able to pin down an exact way to reproduce it.

Searching around it looks like AMD systems are the ones having crash troubles.

Came here exactly because of this issue.

1. Happens ONLY on the inventory screens.
2. Seems to happen mostly on my custome leader when I move something to replace his weapons.
3. But it happens sometimes on other characters inventory as well.
4. Happening a lot while at the AG centre but I`ve been there a long time.
5. Frequent to the point I have to save before going into the Inv.
6. Cannot pin down exactly what`s triggering it in the inventory. Semi-random.

My system:
Windows 10
Intel i5 6950
16 gig ram.
AMD graphics card Radeon r9 200 series card- 2gig.

Getting really annoying.

p.s. Just seen and download a hotfix Patch- Will install and see if it fixes the problem.....

Forcing the game to use DX9 with the -force-d3d9 switch seems to solved the crashing for me.

Personally i'm just shelving the game until this is addressed.

Happens to me to, crash to desktop randomly, on an AMD system with the latest WHQL drivers. Damn annoying. I can't play a game that crashes randomly.

AMD HD7950
AMD FX8350
16GB RAM
Windows 10
Catalyst 15.7.1 WHQL

we don't know it seems to be consistent with AMD components, maybe there is a bug that specifically targets AMD components. I hope the Dev's see this :(

Been running with the hotfix Patch and the inventory crashes are less. I had one crash in a 4 hour run through and I was jumping back and forth around the inventory.

However, I would not say the problem is completey cured as the crash actually happened in the inventory once I started settling into the game!

Still testing.

i am well into the AG center questline since the crashes started happening, what hotfix if you don't mind me asking ?

There is a hotfix available. U can download it or use gog galaxy to patch automatically... but the patch addresses mainly camera zoom problems.

I have the same crash to desktop... sometimes after 10 mins sometimes later... but it has surely something to do with the menus (map, inventory, Radio...)

HW: Intel Core i5 4570, AMD R9 280X 3GB, 8 GB Ram

Since we all have these crashes on Windows10.... did somebody try the Linux Version of W2:DC ?
