Hi Guys,

I'm a kickstarter backer of Wasteland 2 and -of course- I got it through a code, with the known problem of versions (also occurred in Pillar of Eternity and The Witcher 3 in my experience, *in short you actually have the game but none of the versions available on the store, just like you 'unofficially' own the game), but in this case the store shows a 'base game missing' badge and won't allow me to play/download the Director's Cut of Wasteland 2.

Same happened to me. What's happening?
I can't even see that much -It doesn't seem to exist for me. Should of stuck with Steam eh?
I think its because of the kickstarter Edition, this is different than the gog one.
There is a problem with the kickstarter edition and the assigment of the director's cut. The gog staff has identified the problem and is currently trying to fix it. For details take a look at the DC entry in the main forum (answer from Paczyk).

Only affects WL2 Digital Basic Edition from Kickstarter (those from 15$ tier and secondary copies from higher tiers. Possibly any other copies awarded by other KS projects.). Reason some people only see Deluxe upgrade is that they probably had KS Basic Edition and upgraded it Deluxe later thru GOG.
"IMPORTANT UPDATE:
We are aware of the issue which causes some Kickstarter backers to not getting the Director's Cut version. We've found the the cause of the problem and we are working on a fix that should be ready tomorrow.

If you are affected by this and you would like to play the game now, please contact our support department and we will add the game manually to your account.

We're very sorry for this mistake.

This problem only affects kickstarter backers who have the basic edition, not the classic or deluxe."

And...that would be me thank you.
I submitted my code today (via bard's tale) and only have the original wasteland 2.

Hopefully they get it fixed.

Just a question on this. Is there a way to buy an upgrade patch to either the normal Classic edition, or the Deluxe, for us Kickstarter types so that we get the "proper" version, but without having to pay the full price?

This is also turning me off of supporting Kickstarter campaigns, just because of the difficulties in managing the games afterwards.

Still waiting for the DC to appear, and confident that it will be sorted and in my library soon, but a pain none the less.

You're right, kickstarter codes handling should be better than this, every game I've redeemed (except Divinity) had problem concerning versions. It may seems stupid but owning a game that doesn't show the proper badge on its store page is pretty annoying to me.
I've just received this, and everything is okay now.

Ps: It's also showing 'owned' on the store page of the 'Classic Edition' :D

Thanks, GoG! (:

Great customer care, as always.

Glad they fixed your issue. Hopefully they will fix us that got Wasteland 2 gog from bards tale kickstarter. I don't have directors cut in my library still. Hopefully all of this headache will make GoG & developers work together better with making sure these things go through smoothly.

I am in the same boat with a Bard's Tale version waiting to be upgraded to the DC. The funny thing is that I also have the game on Steam... But I really want to play on GOG this time (for no real reason other than my own satisfaction of using Steam less). I just wonder how it could be taking so long to just switch us with a DC version, since clearly, it is available (people are playing it)...
