CarajoEsp: Hi!

Anyone know that, if i will buy the game after the DC version comes out, i get the vanilla version or tha vanilla will playable only, if i buy, before the DC version?

Thx
Good question, I wonder, too. I would think both versions would be available to DL, but, I have no idea really.
WHat if I already have the game installed? Will I have to uninstall it and then install the DC?
The Directors Cut is a separate game, so you will have to download and install it. No need to remove the original Wasteland 2. Due to the differences between the 2, saved games are not compatable. I'm suprised there is no mention of the release on the site's front page, losing out to the Witcher 3 expansion.
So, it's Oct. 13th and at least 10min after midnight, the DC is not available, yet... :-)

it won't be available for GOG right away.
It will be on Steam first and then in other services.

Really? That's fecking stupid. Pretty fed up of everybody in the gaming world licking Steam's arsecrack.

While I hate this as well, it's simply a matter of GOG and other digital vendors not having the infrastructure to support fast loading of updates and new builds like Steam does. It's not like inXile is holding the game back from GOG while giving it to Valve.
"We're launching on Steam at midnight Pacific time tonight, with other platforms like GOG.com to follow as soon as possible while their teams prep the release."

I'm hoping that they just mean that GOG people will just have to wait till morning or something, like usual games that don't do a midnight release. I can live with that.

GOG wraps all their releases and patches in their own installers and test them for bugs. So it will likely be a day or two before they complete that process.

That would be super disapointing, I had imagined GOG Galaxy would already solve that issue, especially since I decided to expand my GOG library for a change and opted to get the game here instead of steam.
I'm sure inexile gave GOG the release code days ago, so hopefully it will be ready by tomorrow sometime.

I hope they realize that until they can release games and patches at the same time as steam does, they will always lose to steam.
never forget original sin's fiasco
Delays like this definitely encourage me to buy games on Steam rather than GOG.com. I use both anyway and Steam already has a huge lead in most games because of the Workshop...
I think this will be the first game in a long time I will play through a second time :)
I really hope the game will be available here in a short time.

It's more than annoying the be set for an official release and than see the date/time pass. And there's not even an announcement on the homepage.
