Greetings!

Apparently GOG does not offer yet the linux binarys even tough it seems to be advertised all over the place to be for Linux too. Which is quite the disappointment.
Since if i had swallowed Juicy DRM i be having it on Linux/steam (tough steam refuses to work with open source drivers)
The Linux version should be added to our accounts in the next 3h.
Good, good :)

EDIT: It’s here!

Why is the Linux (and Mac) versions much bigger than the Windows build, and is the camera hotfix included in the 9.1GB Linux download?

Thanks, good to know :)
Just finished downloading. Installed fine, but game crashes on startup. I can see a loading screen with a spinning marshall star and then a core dump :(
Seems like a bug of the windows version that is fixable using a command line parameter....

I'm on Manjaro Linux, AMD A10-7850K CPU, 8 GB RAM, ATI 7850 1 GB GPU, open source radeonsi graphics drivers (they support Open GL 4.1), kernel 4.2.3

Could you try the proprietary drivers to see if they make a difference?

Not now, but seems that I'm not the only one affected: http s://forums.inxile-entertainment. com/viewtopic.php?f=34&t=13974 (sorry for the spaces, it doesn't let me write a URL)

The Linux version crashes on Mint 17.2 64 bit with proprietary nvidia drivers installed.

The game launches the first time, but it has awful performance no matter the settings. It doesn't launch again, unless I remove all of its configuration files from .config/unity3d.

On the same system the windows version runs smoothly, but I need the "-force-d3d9" parameter.

The original version runs smoothly on both Linux and Windows (without any launch parameter).
Maybe I should stick with it, until the DC version will be fixed.

EDIT: By Windows I refer to Windows 7 64 bit.

On my setup (Debian Sid, free Radeon drivers (r600g) ) the game crashes when pulseaudio isn't running, but does start if pulseaudio is running.

Similar issue here. I'm running Xubuntu 14.04 64bit with proprietary Nvidia 346.96 (750Ti).
For me it crashes, when I try to enter a game. The main menu and Character creation work fine.

The loading goes to about 80%, then the progress bar halts and program crashes after some time (irregular interval).
Terminal outputs only "Core dumped".

Last Player.log entry:

Could not open file /usr/games/michel/gog/Wasteland2DC/game/WL2_Data/Resources/unity default resources for read

(Filename: Line: 54)
Ok, I found a workaround on this threat, which worked for me:

https://forums.inxile-entertainment.com/viewtopic.php?p=159807#p159807

Open /etc/security/limits.conf as root and paste the the following two lines and replace "username" with your user name or with * for all users and reboot afterwards.

username soft nofile 4096
username hard nofile 8192

\quote

Additionally, I had a self made Problem. I tried to link the savegames to a folder on my SSD, for more speed.
