Has anyone confirmed that the reset tool actually works? I tried to reset my game, but pressing a number and hitting enter has no apparent result. I know the instructions say it may take a while, but I have left it running for some time and never see any change on screen. And, when loading up my game, it's right where I left off.

haven't fully used it, but the steps are:

press 2 - enter - the number 2 should appear in the lower left
press 3 - enter - (now press 4 and wait) - should see the number 3, this is the step that takes a while (10 minutes?)
then number 4 should appear on the screen when step three is done, and then press enter
I encountered alike problem. I didn't try to understand and find a solution but readme says that firstly (before playing) you must copy the original files of a game (game1 and game2) and then try to reset (or use "1. setup master files" menu item).
So, maybe if you played for some time and then tried to reset (and you didn't make a copy or use "setup master files") program didn't find original files and couldn't work correctly.
So, if you're planning to reset game in the future you must firstly copy files after install and only then start playing.

Ahhh...I see what you mean. I didn't realize that 2 was really quick and that 3 took some time - I did type 4 and didn't see a result, so it must be working.

Thanks for the help - I once had a single character that I played thru the original (with the original reset on floppy) that I played through several times. I think he had a CON of 250+ by the time I moved on. :-) Looking forward to redoing that.

Just went back in and verified that your solution worked - I'm right where I saved last, but the Guardians are all back. Time to get back to work!

Edit: and you keep your full inventory - that was NOT the case with the original program, so I'd say this one is actually superior.

You don't have to create the master files - the new program says it does that for you (I think it creates masters and copies them over for each saved game you create). Skipping step 1 and following the suggestion of "ufomesh" worked for me.
