Seriously this ticks me off. Let's say I need to quit for whatever reason, mostly if I'm just burnt out from playing, but had already entered a battle. I can't figure out a way to force quit., as Alt-Tab does nothing, so I am forced to finish the battle before I can access the save/quit menu.

I am otherwise trapped in the game until I either kill said enemies or die. As much as I enjoy the game, and I mean no disrespect to fans who enjoy this game, but personally, this mechanic in general is crap.

Try pressing Alt-Enter to switch to windowed mode, and then closing the window normally.

(Also, the original game didn't actually have a "quit" option; you just turned off the computer when done playing.)

Thank you :)

Well the version I'm playing at least I can quit through the save screen. But as I said I can only use it at certain times.
Alt+F4 should also quit your game to the desktop.
