I'm genuinely excited and I haven't felt that way about a game since Daggerfall was about to come out. I know it is mainly a facelift, but as someone who still plays Wasteland on C64 or MS-DOS from time to time, the little bits of polish are welcome. Who else is anxious to get their hands on this?
I am with you, though I find the color palette a bit too bright for my taste (it looks like the remake is inspired by the DOS version, not the C64 one). Yet , if the approach to the source material and support will be on the same level as it was in case of Bards Tale Trilogy we are in for a treat.
I think you're right. It did seem a little bright. I guess I'll know more when it's actually on my monitor. I wonder if there's going to be combat sound effects? The original had almost none. I think the only sound that was ever made was when you ripped a clip on someone.

Glad to see the excitement! We'll still be checking these forums here, but I would like to point out that we have set up a WL Remastered forum on our own site for discussion, tech assistance, and bug reporting. Cheers

Me, W1 along with Might and Magic 3-5 are one of the few DOS-era games that I still play from time to time.

Honestly, given how well the Bard's Tale trilogy was remastered I have absolutely no doubt that W1 will be great.
If only Inxile would pick up wizardry 6 & 7 and remaster them in the same way, I'd be the happiest man on earth.
The "art" looks awful - cheap and has zero charm of the original, so not much different than most of these nostalgia cash-ins...sorry - I mean remasters. But that's okay because I don't have to buy this.

What's not okay is that knowing GOG they will most likely remove the original as an individual sale and will bundle it with this one.
Will the GOG version have Archievements like the Steam version?

As much as I would love to see that happen, I think the rights issues make that highly unlikely.
