Found a couple of fedora hats, they even look different in the inventory, but nobody can wear them. This has got to be a bug, right?

Probably is a very dark joke of Brian Fargo to the Fallout's franchise fedora or to any other dark moment of the developer team with fedoras.
There are no hipsters in the future because they all realised no one cares that they are wearing genuine time period clothing and only listen to limited edition LP's of obscure bands that didn't already 'sell out'.
Combat helmets, also.
Disappearing on female character.
I don`t get it.

If you are speaking about the first two answers, You are asking about something strange of a game made by a guy who:
* Put a nuclear bomb with big button in the fortress.
* Put TWO machines with mysterious buttons.
* Put a guy who speak latin, just because... because yes (and after ONE year was explain that this is the only function of the guy, we are still waiting answers for the other two buttons)
* Put more than one reference to Fallout and Mad Max (Though those were mandatory).
* Put a joke against the unreal engine (I don't count the shrines due were requested and defined by kickstarter users which give certain amount of money)
* Put 3 jokes about the previous game, current game and the game to come
* Make a joke about the anti-piracy and spoiler guys in the previous game (Martians invasion)
* Write the official/cannon guide/story of Wasteland 1 were is told that suddenly one of the characters (I think was Trasher) begin to swim (With clothes) to get Extra experience and Vargas told him next time, he was to practices shooting with him. THAT IS CANNON
* Made cannon Bob's death!
* Still make jokes of the Blood's staff (Even giving ANOTHER blood staff)

And finally, a developer company which put disturbing picture in the reverse of the DVD of certain game

So, yes a Fedora which make you seem smart but is just junk, yeah, probably dark humor of that guy.

Actually, that one is probably a bug as didn't happen before.
Was already reported in the official forums, we are expecting will be fixed in the next patch.

I knew of the button on the nuclear bomb. I thought that was a one off of a very few. I didn`t know about most of the other stuff. So we`ll never know what the latin guy was about? So you`re saying a crazy guy made this game andin general, it`s going to be full of nonsense and I should just accept that?

Then how can anything be improved? If we don`t say if we don`t like something then we`ll just get more of the same nonsense and as paying customers we have a right to say. Just because the Dev has a weird way about things doesn`t give him the leeway to add stupid things- We pay hard cash and this game isn`t exactly cheap.

You sound like you`re getting impatient with me? Are you? You are not forced to answer my queries. Don`t, if it annoys you. You are not the Dev, perhaps the Dev knows better if you don`t.

Lots of games have easter eggs and various mysteries. When you find out the secret, then you become an insider. It is not hard to find out the secrets considering that we have access to the internet.

Feel free to tell the devs if you don't like easter eggs and inside jokes.
Damn some of you guys are like self-appointed game gestapos.
"Dun criticise mah game. dun criticise bugs or faulst, teh eastre eggs are luvly! waah!"

Seriously, guys, get over yourselves. If I see something that don`t make sense or is a bug I`m bloody well going to say so whether you like me doing so or not!

Sheesh.
I'm just trying to expand your education.

That is the thing, to me this is perfect (and I expected). But at the same time is the reason that Obsidian put the similar humor as an optional element in Fallout New Vegas. As alcaray said, you are free to say louder that you don't like but remember that the videogames (about all those that were crowdfunding) are reflection from the developers, not the gamers (is like asking to certain author do not kill characters in certain books of thrones and games).

You want to post about bugs or things you don't like ? Sure, you are free, everyone here does it. But things that are not bugs, always will be subjective (and some "bugs"). The things that made me hate 100% the Deus Ex first game are subjective, the crazy ideas of Bryan Fargos that I loved, are subjective.

So, if you are feeling oppressed because some people love the "luvly" easter eggs that you don't, well, you still have things to learn.

As I'm stuck with my paper, begin my process of relax, so here is coming a possible dark reference to the fedora:

if you search Brian Fargo and Fedora you find that Bargo was supporting the Project Fedora ( https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/texmurphy/tex-murphy-project-fedora/description ). So maybe is a simple reference to that game. Similar to the herbs from the Fallout 1 which are junk items instead of items for cure.

This is the description of the fedora: You feel a lot smarter when you put this hat on.

This is from wikipedia ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tex_Murphy )

The games in the Tex Murphy series take place in a post-apocalyptic 21st century. All of the games take place mostly in a post-WWIII San Francisco.

...

Tex Murphy is a hard-boiled PI. Tex is a member of the portion of the population born without any genetic defects making him a normal human (referred by in-game characters as a "Norm"). He is an avid fan of the classic film noir films of Humphrey Bogart. As such, he does his work in the style of archetypal film noir detectives such as Sam Spade and Philip Marlowe. He has remarkable skills of observation (always punctuated with humorous internal monologues); when examining objects or features, he hardly ever misses an important or unusual detail. However, he is also occasionally a bit clumsy and naive which gets him into trouble from time to time, as does his sarcastic wit.

...

Big Finish updated the main page of their site in April 2009 with an announcement of "Tex Murphy - Project Fedora" as a future release. This led to much speculation amongst the Tex Murphy fanbase that a new project in the form of a game was in the works as the fedora is a signature component of Tex's outfit, especially in light of the fact that this announcement coincided with the news that the rights to the series had been secured.
So, we have evidences from where is coming the dark references.

Edit
------------------

Or I could be wrong, those are tweets to BrianFargo:

Me:
hey @BrianFargo, random question: The Fedora junk item in Wasteland 2, is a reference to the project Fedora? (look smart like Tex Murphy?)
And got this answer:

if it came out in the 80's it may well have been a pop reference. I told the guys to load it up.
