Anybody else having issues with Warlords 3 crashing a lot?

Edit- thought it was fixed, but back to crashing. Always says I have low memory, which I definitely do not have, on this PC.

Same here , at start it gives me a warning about low memory a swell. Usually it crashes without error message on 4th turn
Everybody gets the warning message about low memory at start, unfortunately. It probably has nothing to do with your crashes.

I'm afraid I can't help you further, but maybe you could include which operating system you're running, and where you're installing your GOG games?

If the people who experience crashes have similarities there, that might lead somewhere.

I am using Windows 10, and have the game installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG Galaxy\Games\Warlords 3.
If you (or anyone else reading) has the original Warlords 3 DLR CD it is not too hard to get it running perfectly using the PCEM emulator.

Warlords 3 is a late nineties windows game and they are notorious for being difficult to run on modern operating systems. Seems even GOG are unable to make this stable.

So I recenlty followed this guide to setup PCEM recently, it was not too difficult.
Search for "setting-up-pcem-for-windows-95-games" (I can't post a link for some reason).

Now I have Windows 95 running in PCEM and can install and play all of these difficult games in a nicely resizable window on Windows 10. I highly recommend it.

It also runs other famously difficult games such as Interstate 76 and F22 Total Air War.

The game was running perfect in windows 11 for long time. I got bored and try this game again but for some reason it starting to crash playing 1st round. Must be some windows and graphic card updates overtime had messed the things up.

The best I can offer is that W3 has no also been released elsewhere than GOG, and apparently, they used a different method to update the game for modern systems that might be more stable.

Hi, not sure if you're still looking for the fix, but I've installed it yesterday and had similar issue.

What helped in my case (playing on Windows 10 64 bit), was... adding windows xp compability mode and choosing 800x600 resolution (at the beginning, when you choose single or multi play).

Previously, game notoriously was crashing, very often directly after launch or when I started a campaign. But after I made those two things, it didn't crash a single time.
