ahatchwbciii: Purchasing a game from a web store people want the Original game and add mods later.
Very true, however when the original has serious, gameplay critical issues that may or may not be resolved with a little tinkering would you want to buy it in the first place? Yes, there are unofficial fixes for it out there... but it just doesn't feel right to package a game and dish it out knowing that it has these serious issues.
Now I know it's not GOG's fault for the game's mishaps on platforms it was not designed to run on, but then again GOG has spoiled us with all-in-one wonder-working packages in the past.
I think that the revert to the original 1.03 version is a good move in principle, but I would have expected this to be playable as well, without any third-party additions. Frankly, it's not. I hope they'll figure a way to address these issues in the GOG release as well.
I have checked and the problem is there in this new unpatched version.
ahatchwbciii: So Is the problem JUST with the BattlecryIII.exe file itself ? Then just try the 103B version I made.
Well, yes. It does work with 103B... at least the worst problems seem to be gone :). Thanks for sharing the magic.
