Rublore: We pay a premium to experience media when it's released. The price then drops over time, to allow those who can't afford release prices to enjoy it as well. Comparing a 20 year old game with a current movie doesn't work at all. The comparison would be closer if you were talking about a 20 year old movie. Which, if you're paying $15 for, is expensive.
Now, they've done some work on the game to make it run on modern machines, so that adds value. But I'm still waiting for a sale.
Not comparable to movie prices...lol,,,;) These games will keep you entertained and involved for many dozens of hours...movies are good for 90-120 minutes of passivity...there's no contest really. Some people will complain about paying $7.50 per game for classics like these updated for modern OSes and hardware--but will go out and cheerfully plunk down $60-$80 for the latest AAA console garbage! Some people will plunk down $60-$80 *in advance* and
wait more than a year to get the game (Bloodlines 2, etc.) Go figure...;)
