I liked this game very much. Played it again not so long ago.
GOG's screenshots look better and smoother than in-game graphisms. Has it something to do with this edition? What does actually mean "Gold"? Improved in some way?
Not sure, but in light of this discussion on Steam

Where is the Gold-Edition-Content located ? :: Venetica General Discussions

The question needs an answer on GOG as well.

The results of the above thread was there is a "Gold Edition" folder in the Steam release, which was missing at launch due to dev unfamiliarity with Steam

Here we go, after the game has been downloaded you go to:
Steam\SteamApps\Common\Venetica ... there you'll have the folder Gold_Edition. The content is located in there.

Many users posted
There is no "Gold_Edition" folder

Guys,
the problem is fixed. There was a misconfiguration in the depot. Venetica should start downloading 1GB now, this makes the Gold_Edition folder finally available. We're sorry for any inconvenience this has caused. We're still in the learning process, when it comes to publishing games to Steam.

So just restart Steam, Venetica should start a download! Thanks all!

msuess: (One of Games Devs) Also posted this pic showing the folders in {Path to Game}
So the same question needs to be asked for the GOG release.

Where is the Gold-Edition-Content located ?
Didn't find it in the game folder...
In the gold folder you get the soundtrack, an artbook, the making of video, a rolling demo, the DVD front and back cover art (to make you own DVD case) and a flyer. Of course the pdf manual is in there as well. Hope this answers your question.

I didn't find any existence of the gold content in the game folder.
Neither did I. Could GoG please provide this Gold Edition folder?

Thanks St.Ross. Checked my game page and the bonus content was there.

Me neither although I think it's in hand as quite a few of us have emailed both support and the devs about the oversight so I'm hoping that the extras will be here soon.

Perfectly, thanks :)
I have had Venetica for a while, and downloaded it manually - not through Galaxy. If you don't have the Gold folder, I would re-install using the system you didn't use before,

Well this is strange, I also downloaded the offline installers but I have no Gold folder. When you say you've had Venetica for a while when did you download it? I picked it up about five hours or so after release and the version is 1.0.3.

At least a year ago. I would suggest you re-install it via GOG Galaxy and see if that makes a difference. Long shot I know, but it's all I can think of.

It seems like we are talking at cross purposes - I thought you were talking specifically about your GOG version having the extras.

As it stands right now, and hopefully GOG and/or the devs will correct this soon, the GOG version does NOT contain the Gold extras whether or not you use Galaxy or the off-line installers.
The bonus content should already be available in the game's extras, which can be accessed by selecting the game in the library: https://www.gog.com/account

Just checked and they are now indeed there (they weren't earlier). Thanks for getting this sorted.

I was talking about my GOG version having the extra's. If there was no problem a year ago for me, wonder why it's an issue now for some?

Red the above posts from St Ross and Pajama. This should solve your problem.
