Someone ever tried this game (especially "The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing I" & "II") on Linux (Ubuntu) and could report how good/bad it runs?

I only tried the final cut version. It's working pretty smoothly. I didn't notice any specific error or bucg for the brief time I played

My config:
Ryzen 5 3600 + 16 GO of ram + RX 5600 XT with the basic AMDGPU driver
O.S: KDE neon 5.21.11 based on ubuntu 20.04 LTS

I used the Wine stable branch
I didn't try to play it with a controller but since it supposed to work on Steam, I don't think there will be any issue for that with the GOG version.

Thank you for your report!
Hello,

I am running Final Cut on stable Wine 5.0 and dxvk. Everything is smooth apart from some scenes where FPS drops to 40-50 (CPU bound, maxed video settings, Ryzen 3 3300X here).

Be warned that for me it never ran properly on Wine 5.5. It was stuttering lilke a hell; often everything just stopped for serveral seconds, usually during a fight, whereas environment effects (gras movement etc.) continued unaffected. Also the initial game loading took very long. Obviously, the same problem as many Windows users seem to expereince. Wine 5.0 does not suffer from this. Although, I haven't tried the new 6.0.

I've experienced occasional crashes (15? during 100+ hour game play). A bit annoying as you loose some of your progress.

Warning: Do not create an online character; there is a bug that can prevent you from saving any progress in the late game (seems like insufficient slot size in the cloud). I was forced to start over again with a local character, loosing 80+ hours gameplay.
For everyone whos using Linux:

If your videos don't work you need to recompile them to be *webm instead of *wmv.

If you don't want to recompile them yourself you can also use my mod, which contains the videos as *webm files:
