I got an answer today ;

" It will be released in a few days, it has been already uploaded to GOG servers, we are also just waiting. "

Ditto, got three separate responses from them stating that this morning, since I kept re-sending my original email lol.

But they didn't answer my other question - what about the Steam/GOG split owners?
They also sent me the same email yesterday. Seems like a canned response.
News update for those of you who aren't watching Neocore on Facebook or watching their Devblog.

http://www.neocoregames.com/2016/02/final-cut-gog-xbox-patch/

The thing is… we can’t say how much longer it takes. We wanted to get it done by now. Maybe it gets done next week, maybe the week after. It depends on lots of things. We’d like to say that “no longer than this month”, but take this with a grain of salt as well. We’ll do everything to make it happen, but we’re rather getting it right, with the quality it deserves, rather than meeting some kind of deadline with a rush.
Really don't know what to say, but at least they finally acknowledged it, if only just to say the same stuff we've been hearing over and over and over again.

EDIT: Reading further into this article, they're saying a lot more about the GOG Galaxy client than I would have expected. This kind of leads me to believe that they might be working side by side with GOG to integrate Final Cut into the Galaxy client. Maybe it'll be the first game to make full use of friends lists and connecting through the client? That's the only thing I can think of that would be holding this up. Otherwise, they could have just dumped the installer on the site and been done.

Well that smells to me like GOG Galaxy is soon to become not so optional client anymore!!!

Correct me if I am wrong?

I'm guessing you're wrong. I hope you're wrong. My guess is because they told people they have it already uploaded on the GOG servers, that is the normal version I mentioned. For those of us who don't give a care about multiplayer, Galaxy will continue to be optional. It's there to supplement our experience if we so desire to go multiplayer. That's my guess, anyway.
Galaxy is great thing if You want achievements and so on without hose fcking drms.
Like Pillars of eternity.
I hope that final cut will be as they say, complete, without 300 patches to fix 300 errors. All this waiting does is make me want to go buy more games to take up the time waiting for the van helsing game. :/

So for a marketing standpoint for other games, it's doing wonders! :D

You do realize how stupid this sounds, right? Neocore ALWAYS said the game will come to GOG - just not yet...

I'm pretty damn sure the whole delay is about Galaxy multiplayer. Were you guys around when Divinity: Original Sin came out? The game wasn't released on GOG at first, beause GOG wanted to wait until they have Galaxy ready, because of the auto-updates. After a few weeks and heavy criticism, GOG released the game without Galaxy (which came out ONE YEAR LATER!!!). This one smells like another case of "We won't release it until Galaxy is ready".

Not to mention the fact that auto updating in Galaxy is still horrible. I've gone back to use the GOG downloader to download patches.

It got better. The last updates I got didn't just redownload the whole game ;)

My thoughts regarding acknowledgment were more aimed to acknowledging the customers who have been demanding some sort of official notice of progress and why we kept getting generic, nonspecific answers. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

I really hate Galaxy, it's optional for now, but it makes using downloader or manual direct downloads a pain, and causes complications for integration.
