For the time jump from Medieval to modern times, what items should I have in my inventory to keep them?

1) Do you regain the content of your storage chest (from the Vampire sanctuary under the university / church)?
2) What about items in your comanions' inventory? Should I put everything onto my main character before the time skip?
3) Do I keep my money?
4) What items exactly do transfer?

I just tried it and according to my experiences, what carries over is:
- Christof's currently equipped mainhand weapon, whatever it is
- any "blue" (magic) accessories like Gloves of Strength, Blood Rings etc.
=> But only if they're in Christof's inventory or currently equipped by him.
The things that carry over could all be found in the very first room you get revived in.

What didn't carry over for me:
- any armor, even if its blue (makes sense - you can't run around London in medieval plate)
- my shield
- any accessories that are not magic (like the +Appearance rings)
- anything in my companions' inventories or equipped by them
- anything in the storage chest

So if you want to carry as much over as possible, put all magic (blue) accessories in Christof's inventory and equip him with your favourite weapon. Don't bother about armor.

I know i'm posting on a very old topic but stuff in your storage chest does survive. This is my stuff that survived the time jump:

[Purchased]
- 4x Dread flamberge
- 4x Exquisite flamberge ('fine' weapons also survive)
- 10x Bracelets (8 Discipline, 2 Blood)
- 5x Amulets (4 Discipline, 1 Blood) [one discipline amulet was lost in the timeskip]
- 12x Rings ( 4 Discipline, 4 Serenity, 2 Blood, 2 Charisma)
- 1x Heartshield

[Artifacts]
- Ainkurn sword
- Ivory bow
- Femur of Elder Tz
- Gangrel eye
- Sire's index finger
- Beserker fang

Your stuff appears two places. The room where you wake up, and near some crates by a small staircase just outside the room you wake up in. None of my stuff was hidden in containers, it was all out in the open on top of crates. You are able to re-enter leopold to carry your stuff in more than one trip. All your medieval money is lost.

That list is very unrealistic for a legit play through (I was cheesing the money with 100 manipulation) but it should show that his full stash and everything he was carrying survived the trip. The best melee weaps are in the past but you can buy all the same rings, bracelets, & amulets in the future. For a more realistic budget-friendly timeskip just bring the free artifacts, 4 good melee weaps, and a heartshield (useful when you wake up).

good list. how about disciplines and attribute allocations. I just jumped to London, and it has almost reset everything, though I'm still level 9. I don't recall it does that, can there be a bug?
cheers
This is from waaaaaay back. Played this game a lot, so I figured out the mechanics of it.

What carries over depends on Christof's inventory and vault. So it can be worth it to take a quick Walk the Abyss to get back to the haven and dump your valuables into Christof's vault.

What carries over:

Magical weapons and equipment. They show up as blue in their names. So magic rings, bracelets, gauntlets, helmets, and so on. It might not be easy finding four full magical helms, but if you can get them, they're better than any modern helmets. They're worth it.

Exquisite weaponry. A normal broadsword won't survive the ages, but an exquisite one will. Yes you can carry that two-handed axe over, despite it being nonmagical. Fine weapons probably do too, though I never have merely 'fine' weapons by that point.

Shields, as long as they're magical. Get a shield that's got some fire/ice/lightning/faith/sun protection and it'll make the timeskip. Regular shields won't do.

There's one piece of body armor that will carry over. The Heartshield, which prevents staking. Most useful when you wake up. Not as much afterward, but it's very useful considering the enemies you're facing right then. That can be picked up in the Ringstrasse in Vienna. The other body armors won't make it even if they are magical. So there's no point in lowering your Humanity for the Unholy Plate.

Now the Ivory Bow quickly runs out of ammo and thus use, modern arrows don't work for it without modding. That said, it's good for selling for a bit of cash.
