Anyone having problems opening the door to level 2 inside the Monastery?
Mine appears to be a rock wall and it's blocked.
I'm pretty sure this is a graphic glytch, so...

Monastery level 2 ?
It's a wooden door, but you have to do something first to be able to go through it, i think.
If you have done what is required and it's really a glitch try to save and then quit the game entirely and reload. Or maybe leave the area and then comeback.

Thanks but I've done that, no luck. I guess I'm the only one having this issue, I've already contacted support, sent a screenshot and dxdiag info. Oh well...*sigh*.

Yep, otherwise the gate to the area doesn't open. I'm pretty sure I'm all set, this is a graphic glitch for sure. Unfortunately, a Google search didn't provide any results. So, chances are I'm stuck with a very specific problem.

I'm sorry to ear that, and yeah, it does sound like a weird glitch.
I'm sorry mate, but short of restarting the game or even unistalling/reinstalling (just in case), i'm not sure what else you can try...

Believe me, I've tried everything including rebooting, changing resolutions, tweaking advanced options ingame and Nvidia Control Panel. Nothing. I'll wait and see if GOG comes up with an answer. I'm not holding my breath, this does look like something unique. Anyways, thanks so much for helping!

Finally found out...I had a corrupted save game which was causing the problem. I restored a previous save, ventured again into the Monastery and this time everything was fine (I also noticed when loading the corrupted save that some art was missing, like torches, etc...was worse than I imagined). The door was there and I could get down to level 2 without issues. If I load the corrupted save game I get the same graphic issues, so it's pretty much explained.
Of course, lesson learned here...save a lot, different slots.

Yep, saving alot and in different slots it's always a good idea.
Anyway, it's good to know you got it working.

Never had that problem before, neither on version 1.0 or 1.1. Seems like you just had bad luck with that save

Guess you're right. I've been playing and saving as usual. Everything's working fine now.
It was one of those mysterious things...I'm glad it's gone. :)
